EmmySoft
EmmyCore

Introduction

What EmmyCore is and when to use it.

EmmyCore is EmmySoft's Salesforce-based applicant tracking system (ATS) and the operational source of truth for recruiting work.

It is the central workspace for managing Projects, Candidates, customer relationships, activities, communication, and reporting. EmmyCore controls the structured process data that other EmmySoft products can build on.

What you use it for

  • Creating and managing recruiting Projects
  • Maintaining customer accounts and contacts
  • Creating, importing, and assigning Candidates
  • Moving Candidates through configurable recruiting workflows
  • Sending emails, GDPR requests, and candidate communication
  • Publishing Projects to a career site or external provider
  • Matching Candidates and Projects
  • Tracking activities, notes, tasks, and outcomes
  • Reporting on pipeline, progress, and operational performance

Core areas

The most important EmmyCore areas are:

  • Accounts: companies such as customers, prospects, partners, or related business entities
  • Contacts: people connected to an account, usually customer-side stakeholders
  • Projects: recruiting assignments for a customer
  • Candidates: candidate master data, applications, documents, and Project assignments

Depending on tenant configuration, additional areas can be available, such as newsletters, search and match, reports, plugins, or business development workflows.

Projects and legacy labels

These docs use Project as the canonical public term.

Some EmmyCore screens, Salesforce object labels, or older wiki material may still show Job. In those cases, treat Job as the underlying UI label for a recruiting Project.

Tenant configuration

EmmyCore is Salesforce-based and tenant-specific. Field names, layouts, tabs, permissions, and available integrations can vary by customer setup.

The pages in this section describe the EmmySoft standard setup. Your environment may look slightly different if it has been customized.

How it fits in the suite

EmmyCore is designed to work together with EmmyPortal and EmmyScore.

  • EmmyPortal adds real-time collaboration, communication, and transparency for stakeholders.
  • EmmyScore adds scoring and candidate evaluation capabilities.

In daily work, EmmyCore usually remains the operational system where recruiting data is created and maintained. EmmyPortal and EmmyScore use selected parts of that data for collaboration, visibility, and evaluation workflows.
