Plugins And Integrations
EmmyCore can be extended with browser plugins and Salesforce integrations.
Available plugins depend on tenant setup and customer licensing.
Nixz Browser Extension
The Nixz extension supports LinkedIn and Xing workflows.
It can help users:
- Import Candidates from LinkedIn or Xing
- Check whether a person already exists in EmmyCore
- Create Contacts from profiles
- Purchase or enrich contact address data, where enabled
Typical setup:
- Install the browser extension.
- Pin the extension if you use it often.
- Open LinkedIn or Xing.
- Connect the extension to the EmmyCore domain.
- Use the extension while logged into EmmyCore in the same browser.
If connection fails, check that the EmmyCore URL is correct and that third-party cookies are not blocking the integration.
Salesforce Outlook And Gmail Plugins
Salesforce plugins for Outlook and Gmail can connect email workflows to EmmyCore.
Typical setup includes:
- Installing the Salesforce plugin.
- Logging in with the Salesforce/EmmyCore account.
- Using the plugin to relate emails to Salesforce records.
Plugin layout and available fields can be configured in Salesforce setup.
Calendar Sync
Calendar integration can use Salesforce Einstein Activity Capture or equivalent Salesforce configuration.
Typical admin setup includes:
- Assigning the required permission set to users.
- Enabling the email/calendar connection.
- Adding users to the configured sync scope.
- Having users connect their Outlook or Gmail account from their own settings.
In many setups, new and updated Outlook/Gmail events are synchronized into EmmyCore. Exact sync direction and limitations depend on Salesforce configuration.
Legacy Textkernel Plugin
Older installations may still use the Textkernel browser extension or Textkernel portal workflows.
These setups can support external Candidate search and import, but newer tenants may use a different integration path.
Check your tenant setup before following legacy Textkernel instructions.
Troubleshooting
Common plugin issues include:
- Incorrect EmmyCore domain URL
- Browser third-party cookie restrictions
- User not logged into EmmyCore in the same browser
- Missing permissions
- Extension not updated
- Tenant not configured for the plugin
If the extension behaves unexpectedly, first verify URL, login state, browser permissions, and whether the tenant has the integration enabled.
